Common questions
Who pays for the electricity used by the hotspot equipment?
We do. Our equipment is connected to a dedicated token meter, and Ditesol buys the electricity tokens, so your power bill isn't affected.
What does the landlord get?
A free monthly internet connection, which you can use for security cameras (CCTV) or your own needs, plus a building with internet that tenants want.
Why do you need a site survey?
Coverage depends on the building layout, the number of units, surrounding structures and power. The survey lets us design the right setup and confirm the site works for both of us.
How do tenants pay?
Tenants connect to the Ditesol hotspot and buy affordable internet packages directly. You don't need to collect anything.
Which areas do you cover?
We're currently in Meru and Kiambu counties and expanding to Nairobi and other counties. If your building is elsewhere, still submit a request: it helps us plan where to go next.
I'm a tenant. Can I request hotspot for my building?
Yes! Submit the form and choose "Tenant". We'll reach out to the landlord or caretaker. If you'd like your own line, check out our fiber packages.
